Currency Calculator Offline ("the App") is a mobile application developed by ObscuraCode Ltd ("we," "our," or "us"), a company registered in London, United Kingdom. The App is an offline-first currency converter that lets you convert between 170+ fiat currencies and 31 cryptocurrencies without an active internet connection once exchange rates have been downloaded.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have regarding your data. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
The App is built around a principle of minimal data collection:
Everything you type into the App — amounts, selected source and target currencies, pinned favourites, and conversion history — is stored locally on your device. None of it is uploaded to our servers.
To provide up-to-date exchange rates, the App periodically contacts our rate service. These requests are HMAC-authenticated and contain only a timestamp and the App's version — they do not include any personally identifiable information, your conversion inputs, or your location.

The free tier of the App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) and other information as described in Google's Ads Privacy & Terms. You can reset or limit ad tracking at any time in your device's system settings. Premium subscribers do not see ads; no advertising identifier is collected for them.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes beyond the ad serving described above.
Your conversion history, pinned currencies, and preferences are stored in a local database on your device (Drift/SQLite). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it or back it up through your device's native backup system (iCloud or Google Drive, governed by Apple's and Google's privacy policies respectively).
When you're online, the App fetches exchange rates from our backend roughly every four hours. These requests are authenticated with HMAC signatures and carry no personal data. Rates are cached on your device so you can convert offline thereafter.
Premium subscriptions are managed via RevenueCat, which handles entitlement verification on our behalf. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your Apple/Google subscription receipts. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide the App's services:
All payments for subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed exclusively by Apple via the App Store or Google via Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details, including credit card numbers or billing addresses.

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete such data from our systems.
